"My canvas is always a battleground between the natural intellectual forces of realism and ever-changing ideas of simplicity. I try to create an "unbalanced harmony" of bold shapes and flat colors contrasting with vague lines and disappearing forms that move beyond to abstraction, often almost realistic in nature. The creative process is complicated but I want my final work to be simple and not over-thought."
